Dr. Greg Story: President Dale Carnegie Training Japan
Originally from Brisbane Australia, Dr. Greg Story has lived in Japan for 38 years.
On April 1st, 1979 Dr. Greg Story arrived in Japan as a Monbusho scholar to study Japanese at Jochi University in Tokyo. In 1981 he entered the Comparative Culture Master’s Degree program at Jochi graduating with an MA in 1983. Entering the doctoral program at Griffith University in Brisbane he returned to Tokyo for field work as a Fellow of the Japan Foundation over 1984-1985. He completed his Ph.D thesis in 1988 and was awarded his doctorate in 1990.
In 1992, he joined the Australian Trade Commission and was sent to Nagoya as Australian Consul and Trade Commissioner. In 1996 Dr. Story became Australian Consul General and Senior Trade Commissioner in Osaka.
In 2001 he became the Minister in the Australian Embassy and Senior Trade Commissioner Tokyo and ultimately Austrade Country Head for Japan.
In 2003 he became a General Manager in the Shinsei Retail Bank. He established the Shinsei Business School, then became General Manager of the Platinum Banking Division and later Joint Head of the Retail Bank.
In 2007, he became the Country Head in Japan for the National Australia Bank.
Dr. Story served as the the Chairman of the Australia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce from 2008-2010.
In October 2010, Dr. Story moved to the Presidency of Dale Carnegie Training Japan.
He is the author of “Japan Sales Mastery”, “Japan Business Mastery”, “Japan Presentations Mastery” and “Za Eigyo”.
He releases six podcasts a week: The Cutting Edge Japan Business Show; The Presentations Japan Series; The Sales Japan Series; The Leadership Japan Series; The Japan Business Mastery show and Japan’s Top Business Interviews.
